MISSION STATEMENT

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.

VISION STATEMENT

Leading women educators impacting education worldwide.

PURPOSES

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International has seven basic purposes that govern its program of work and study. The activities of each level of the Society implement the purposes of the Society. These were updated at the DKG International Convention in July, 2026. The seven purposes include:

	To unite women educators of the world in a genuine fellowship
	To honor women who have given or who evidence a potential for distinctive service in any field of education
	To advance the professional interest and position of women in education
	To initiate, endorse and support desirable legislation in the interests of education and of women educators
	To endow awards to aid members in pursuing professional and personal development and provide grants to non-member educators
	To stimulate the professional and personal development of members and to encourage their participation in relevant programs of action
	To inform the members of current economic, social, political and educational issues so that they may participate effectively to support a sustainable world society

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is by invitation only and is considered a prestigious honor. Candidates for membership in Delta Kappa Gamma International include women educators who:

Are in an educational position or as a self employed educator

Are retired educators from an educational position

Live in one of 17 countries where DKG is established
